The Journey to Health- With the Help of AIP

Auto-Immune Paleo, or AIP for short, is a new diet that is SWEEPING THE NATION! Well, sort of, but it's certainly sweeping my life right off its feet.

I have been diagnosed with a couple auto-immune diseases, and because of these nasty little buggers my body struggles to digest food and take in nutrients like most people. Within the past couple of months my body started suffering more than normal. I wasn't just dealing with an occasional tummy ache anymore- I started having trouble moving due to joint and muscle pain, I started to experience extreme fatigue that made it hurt to even BLINK due to tiredness, I started to lose the ability to focus on my schooling and I wasn't able to study without my mind going blank, my entire body started drying out like the Sahara desert, and so on and so forth. I tried my DARNEDEST to continue with schooling (I was studying musical theatre at university) but it became virtually impossible to live in a dorm, sing and dance, study hard, work every morning at 4am, and experience all of these nasty symptoms.

I had heard of many people who were suffering from these symptoms (including close friends), but once they began the Auto-Immune Paleo diet, and incorporated exercise and LOTS of Z's, their lives had completely changed and they were HEALING!

So how do I go about changing my life in order to incorporate this huge change, so that I'm finally healthy again?

I had to humble myself to the lowest point in my life, and withdraw from school.

WHOMP.

It felt like I was giving up on life a little bit.

But with trust in God's plan for my life I pulled the plug on school and began the journey to health!

HUZZAH!

The fact of the matter is, I'm only a month into this journey and it takes the average person 6 months- 2 years to experience this thing called health.

So, I decided, why not share this journey with the people of the internet? Why not document what I'm going through and attempt to help others on their journey to health?

So here I am folks! Writing about my journey (how silly it seems to call it a journey, but that's what it is, isn't it?), and hopefully discovering new and exciting recipes and tips and tricks that I can share with all of you!

So let's get started shall we?
