GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, if you could peep your head into my mind, that is what you would hear, and you would also see a large conglomeration of colors and shapes and utter MADNESS.
I was convinced that in order to live a full life you needed to pack it full of events. I needed to have every single minute of my day planned, and every single minute needed to be productive in order to be fulfilling.
For some reason I had a warped vision of life that I needed to be constantly moving and working towards something in order to be happy.
That is until I met someone who taught me how important it is to slow. it. down.
This person taught me how wonderful it is to take time to absorb the people you love, and simply talk.
Simply listen to music.
Simply contemplate your little life.
Simply pray.
Simply appreciate.
There is a song by the Lumineers called Slow it Down that has currently been my mental theme song.
The song ends with this-
"Slow it down, Angie come back to bed Rest your arms, and rest your legs Don’t you frown when you’re feelin' like that Only love can dig you out of this."
Stick "Bailey" where "Angie" is and you've got yourself the lesson I needed to learn all along. Recently I've been feeling extremely down, and these words have given me fuel. I have thrown myself at the love of God, the love of my family, and even the love of the smiles of the strangers I have encountered to "dig me out of this".
It's okay to take time and just BE.
It's okay to take time and appreciate nothing.
Because in that nothingness, you find everything.
So, thank you to the person who taught me how to Slow it Down, and may your influence forever impact my life.
With Endless Adoration and Love,
Bailey ♥
