Day 10: Curious

I have always been extremely curious.

I want to invistigate everything. I want to discover everything. I want to learn more about everything.

I’m curious about the way robins bellies puff up in the winter.

I’m curious about why my regular customer from work is currently in the same coffee shop I am.

I’m curious as to why some people interact better than others.

I’m curious about why this coffee is so much better than the coffee I make at home.

I’m curious about why it is you have chosen to read this right now.

I think curiosity is something incredibly beautiful, and almost childlike in essence... but it often gets me into trouble.

Because I feel the need to investigate, discover, and learn about everything all the time, I end up pushing my curiosity too far.

I become Alice and fall down that rabbit hole into Wonderland.

Priorities are shifted.

Mind is cluttered and confused.

The Cheshire mocks me with his mischievous grin.

I exclaim to myself “I have ONCE AGAIN become too curious and over-stepped my boundaries!”

I often find myself struggling with balance (you know this), and the balance of the right amount of curiosity is one that gets me. Constantly.

So, I guess this is where I really don’t have the answers, and prompt you to think and question- “How much curiosity is inherently GOOD and when does curiosity become TOO MUCH?”

And then when you think you’ve formulated a response, please, tell me about it.

Life is about collaboration, and I’m curious about what you think.

With Love Always,

Bailey
