of people arguing

hearts aching

the maddening hustle

and bones

breaking.

Podcast on.

Song on.

Phone - in use for call.

Wait.

Stop.

What are you doing?

Have you taken a moment of silence?

Have you taken a moment for peace?

Are you waiting until your life

ends?

Are you waiting for your breathe to

cease?

Turn it off.

Set it down.

Close your mouth.

Stare out a window.

Without noise.

What do your gentle thoughts tell you now?
